Work in the Community

At Kirkland’s, we’re committed to creating inspirational living spaces and living inspirational lives. We honor this commitment by partnering with organizations to make the world a more hopeful place. Learn more about our remarkable partners below.

Habitat for Humanity

At Kirkland’s, we believe that your home is your sanctuary-your buffer against the world. We also know that a home can be an incredibly difficult luxury to come by for many families around the world, which is why we have supported the mission of Habitat for Humanity since 2011. Kirkland’s donates home decor several times a year to the Habitat ReStore where proceeds are used to help build strength, stability, and homes in local communities.

In 2012, Habitat for Humanity named Kirkland’s an honorary sponsor for a home built for a deserving family in Nashville, TN. Since that dedication, Kirkland’s has had the privilege and honor of volunteering time and sponsoring several builds as well as partnering with new home owners to help decorate their home. We look forward to our continued relationship with this worthy organization. For more information, visit their website: www.habitat.org.

Make-A-Wish

A wish experience can be a game-changer for a child with a critical illness. At Make-A-Wish they are compelled to be creative and go above and beyond expectations of each wish. Wishes are more than a gift or an event; wishes make a lasting impact on everyone involved from the child, parents, sponsors, volunteers and even the whole community.

These wishes can give kids the boost of confidence and courage to fulfill their medical treatments and help their parents feel a sense of hope and optimism. Stay tuned, as Kirkland’s adopts a wish for some very special children. For more information, visit their website: www.middletennessee.wish.org.

Alice & Carl Kirkland Cancer Center

A cancer survivor himself, our founder Carl Kirkland and his wife, Alice, established the Kirkland Cancer Center in Jackson, TN in January 2010 to further enhance cancer services to the people of West Tennessee. This facility takes patient care to a whole new level.

"The environment in which you fight cancer should be a source of hope," says Mr. Kirkland. "That’s why we have created a cancer center with state-of-the-art oncology treatment processes and inviting areas for treatment that instill a sense of promise in everyone that visits." In true Kirkland’s form, the Kirkland Cancer Center also houses a retail boutique named "Inspirations," that specializes in mastectomy fittings and accessories. The boutique provides women with emotional and physical support during cancer treatment, helping women get comfortable and feel attractive after surgery. BrightStone

BrightStone is a non-profit with a mission to expand the potential of adults with special needs by offering educational programs and social support that will provide a life with hope and opportunities.

Kirkland’s partnership with BrightStone began in 2018 as the presenting sponsor of BrightStone’s largest fundraiser, the 17th Annual Jim Hinton Memorial Golf Benefit. This event raised over $150,000 that will go toward building a new 138 acre residential campus in Franklin, Tennessee that provided whole life care. At Kirkland’s, we take pride in helping create a warm and happy home for family and friends, and it was our privilege to be a part of helping these adults bring life to a home of their very own. Camp Charley & The Charley Foundation

Kirkland’s aims to give hope to hearts both young and old through our partnership with the Charley Foundation, which is a non-profit organization that provides support to charitable agencies addressing the critical needs of children.

Each year Kirkland’s sponsors Camp Charley weekend at the Center for Courageous Kids, a medical facility disguised as a camp for critically ill children in Scottsville, KY.

During their stay at Camp Charley, the whole family participates in memorable activities for all ages, like horseback riding, fishing, dancing, and swimming. These families receive much needed support from one another while creating lasting family memories.

Kirkland’s also supports the Charley Foundation by partnering with local charities like the Charles Davis Foundation and Ronald McDonald House Nashville to help bring a brighter Christmas to children in Nashville each year. For more information, visit https://www.charleyfoundation.org.
